    WHY JOIN CHURCH?

    It's important for you.

    1. Membership provides you a spiritual family to support and encourage you in your Christian walk (Galatians 6:1–2; Hebrews 10:24–25).

    2. Membership provides greater opportunities for you to use your God-given gifts and talents

    (1 Corinthians 12:4–27).

    3. Membership provides you the accountability you need to grow (Ephesians 5:21).

    HOW TO JOIN CHURCH?

    It's easy at New Beginnings.

Because of the benefits of connecting with a church, we want to make it easy for you to join the family of New Beginnings.

    1. If you’re at one of our worship celebrations, and are interested in joining church, simply walk down the aisle to Pastor Enis when he extends the invitation after he’s finished preaching.

    HOW TO JOIN CHURCH

    It's easy at New Beginnings.

    2. If you desire to join church, but are uncomfortable walking down the aisle during the invitation period, simply fill out a Membership Card in the back of the sanctuary, and give it to the pastor or any other servant after the closing prayer of our worship celebration.

    3. If neither of these options works for you, simply email Pastor Enis directly at pastorenis@gmail.com and set up a conversation!

One of my former college students used to play for the school’s soccer team. She invited me to her games every season: “Professor, you have to come to one of the games! You have to!” Soccer’s not my thing, but I still went to support her. Of the several positions on a soccer team, I only know...

One Sunday after church, one of the children, who was five at the time, challenged me to an arm-wrestling match. While I was winning, he began hanging on to my forearm. So, I lifted his whole body while he was holding on to my arm. The higher I lifted my arm, the tighter he held on. As he...

The other day, as I reflected on the importance of focusing despite life’s distractions, I began to think about the characteristics of a good love song. In good love songs, the singers focus on the object of their affection. For example, in Luther Vandross’s classic, “A House Is Not a Home,”...
