If you’ve ever been to Starbucks, you know about the intriguing names of their cup sizes.
Let’s say you want an Apple Crisp Macchiato with four Splenda.
You tell the barista, “I don’t want a big size. I don’t want a lot.”
The barista says, “How about a Tall?”
If you’re unfamiliar with the names of the sizes at Starbucks, you may wonder, “Didn’t I just say I didn’t want a big size? Why would I want a Tall?”
But if you are familiar with the sizes at Starbucks, you know of sizes larger than a Tall, such as Grande, Venti, and even Trenta.
Therefore, at Starbucks, what we call “Tall” is rather small.
Similarly, what’s tall for you is small for God. What’s a big thing for you is a small thing for God.
It may be too big for you. But it’s not too big for God. It may be too hard for you. But it’s not too hard for God.
