In the movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Helen is getting a divorce from her husband Charles, who’s a wealthy, high-profile lawyer.
Because Charles cheats on her, Helen is entitled to alimony and all the property.
But during the court proceedings, Helen jumps out her chair and says to the judge, “He can have it. . . . Your Honor, let him have it all—everything.”
So instead of receiving what she’s entitled to, Helen leaves it all on the table.
When you leave something on the table, you forfeit what you have access to.
When we fail to pray for our desires, we leave so much on the table—positive possibilities, solutions, blessings, clarity, even guidance on what to do next.
Don’t leave it on the table. It’s a praying time.
