Growing up, one of my favorite superheroes was Superman. He was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
But what irritated me about the Superman movies was Lois Lane. I couldn’t understand for the life of me how Lois Lane couldn’t see that Clark Kent and Superman were the same person.
I thought, “If I’m six years old, and I can see it, then certainly you should be able to see it, Lois!” I wondered, “Lois, what’s wrong with you, girl? How did you get a job as a news reporter when you can’t even see that Superman and Clark Kent are the same person?”
She talked to Clark Kent about Superman, but she failed to recognize that Clark Kent was Superman.
But sorry to say, sometimes, we’re like Lois Lane. Sometimes, what you’ve been looking for, waiting for, and hoping for are right there in front of you—but you fail to recognize it.
Don’t be like Lois Lane. Don’t miss the blessing that God has placed right in front you.
