When I was a kid, my parents bought me a Huffy bicycle one Christmas. I loved that bike. But each day, after riding the bike, I’d just toss the bike to the ground when I returned home.
My mom would say, “Boy, what’s wrong with you, throwing that bike on the ground like that? Do you know how much money we paid for that bike? Use your kickstand!”
The purpose of the kickstand was to provide the support needed to hold the bike up. The kickstand served the purpose of preventing the bike from leaning over too far.
When you feel as if you’re leaning over too far, when it seems as if you’re falling, God will be the Kickstand to hold you up.
