In 1996, my senior year of high school, we move from the Chicago area to Virginia Beach, Virginia. On this uncomfortable twenty-eight-hour bus ride, we make a short stop at the Greyhound Bus Station in Richmond, Virginia.
As we depart Richmond, I notice the campus of Virginia Union University from the highway.
Little did I know at the time, five years later I would be a seminary student at that school, and then four years after taking my first class there, I would be a professor there. Little did I know, in 1996, God gave me a snapshot of my future. Little did I know, God gave me a preview of a coming attraction.
You may not always know what God is up to in your life. But God knows.
