One day when I was a kid, my dad tried to teach me how to ride a bike with no training wheels. When I peddled, he held the seat behind me. But when I picked up speed, he let go.
When I realized that he had let go, I panicked and started steering all over the place. Because I was afraid of falling, I stopped peddling.
But when I stopped peddling, he said to me, “Even if you begin to fall, don’t worry, because I’m going to be right there to catch you!”
When I look back over my life, I see many occasions on which I’ve fallen, not just literally, but figuratively, in many areas in my life. But even when I’ve fallen, God was right there to catch me.
I’m a witness that when you’re leaning over, when you’re falling over, when your life is steering out of control, God’s hands are big enough and strong enough to catch you.
