The other day, I ordered an ice cream cone in the drive-thru at Chick-fil-A. When I pulled up at the window, a team member handed me the cone, and then she asked, “Would you like a free vanilla shake too?”
Immediately, I shouted, “Sure!”
I thought, “Look at God!”
I only expected an ice cream cone when I pulled up at the window.
But when she offered me a free shake, she didn’t just meet my expectations. She exceeded my expectations.
In the same way, there are times when God won’t just meet your expectations. But every now and then, God will exceed your expectations. God will go above and beyond for you.
