In planning for the launch service of New Beginnings Church, I felt as if we'd need thirty more chairs to accommodate people for our worship celebration. I figured we'd rent the chairs. But it was suggested that we check with funeral homes to see if they’d lend us some chairs.
Then it dawns on me that I did know Brian Wilson, the owner of Wilson Funeral Services. So I send him a text-message, asking if we could borrow thirty chairs on Sundays, and then return them on Mondays. In response, he says, “Hello Pastor Enis, congratulations on stepping out! I would be willing to donate thirty folding chairs to your ministry.”
Then he goes on to say, “We purchase our chairs from Lowe’s. Our chairs are so worn. . . . So here’s what I’m going to do: I’ll write you a check for some new chairs. It’ll be ready after 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.”
The next day I pick up the check. And two days later, I buy thirty new chairs. Where God guides, God provides.
